SMS Emergency Notification Service
The Shire uses an SMS notification to communicate updates on emergencies, road closures, harvest and vehicle movement bans and any other advice as required. Please contact the Shire office on 9825 3555 to request addition to the free service, or email the Shire providing your full name and mobile number.

ABC Radio broadcasts emergency information as required during an emergency. Local frequencies are 558AM, 630AM. Alternatively, download the ABC Listen app, available for both Apple and Android devices.
Please do not rely on one method of advice for Harvest Ban notifications.
A number of areas in the Shire have limited mobile reception. SMS messaging is not always an effective form of notification.
