NEW CEO APPOINTED AT BROOMEHILL-TAMBELLUP

Broomehill-Tambellup Shire President Cr Michael White has announced the appointment of Mr Anthony Middleton as the newly appointed CEO for the Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup.

 At a Special Meeting of the Council late last week, Cr White said that Councillors were unanimous in their support of the appointment of Mr Middleton.  

‘He comes to Broomehill-Tambellup with a wealth of knowledge and experience’ Cr White said, while praising the other candidates interviewed.

‘Although Anthony’s appointment was unanimous, we were blessed with a strong field of candidates, making the selection process challenging’ Cr White noted.

Mr Middleton is presently a member of the Senior Management team at the Shire of Kojonup and has previously held roles of CEO at the Shire of Cranbrook and Deputy CEO at the Shire of Plantagenet.

Cr White also said that Mr Middleton has developed a deep understanding of the issues facing the Great Southern, especially the economic challenges facing small rural Shires.

He will begin his new role with Broomehill-Tambellup on 27 June 2022.
