The Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup seeks applications from reliable, motivated, and experienced plant operator/general hands for two full time, permanent vacancies on our Works team. The successful applicants will play an integral role in road maintenance works, as well as other general maintenance duties associated with the Works program.  The Shire maintains a modern fleet of plant and equipment, a well-equipped workshop with mechanical support onsite, and a supportive, excellent work culture. 

To be considered for these positions, you must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in effective plant operation (e.g. grader, truck, loader, roller, skid steer, backhoe, minor plant)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively carry out maintenance tasks associated with roads, footpaths, and other public spaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate as part of a team
  • A current minimum Western Australian HR drivers’ licence
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required to undertake manual tasks.

    The salary for this position is $64,424 per annum ($30.78 per hour), plus allowances.  The successful applicant will also enjoy the following benefits:
