Bloom Where We Live

Capture the essence of life in our region through images of:
  • Landscapes and scenic views
  • Farms and rural life
  • Town streets and community spaces
  • Gardens and seasonal blooms
  • Local landmarks
  • Candid, everyday moments that reflect our community

Entry Guidelines

  • Open to all residents and visitors of the Broomehill–Tambellup region.
  • Photographs must be taken within the local area.
  • Images may be captured using a smartphone, digital camera, or tablet.
  • Entries must be submitted as high-resolution JPEG or PNG files suitable for printing.
  • Basic editing is permitted, including:
    • Cropping
    • Brightness adjustments
    • Contrast adjustments
    • Colour correction
  • All images must be the original work of the entrant.
  • By entering, participants grant permission to the Shire to display and promote submitted images.

Awards and Recognition

Category Winners

One winner will be awarded in each category:
  • Under 18 Years
  • Adult (18 Years and Over)
  • People's Choice Award (Open Category)

Recognition

Winning photographers will:
  • Be featured on the Shire website and social media channels.
  • Have their image framed and displayed in the Shire Administration Offices.

People's Choice Voting

All submitted photographs will be showcased online for community viewing.
Community members will be invited to vote for their favourite image.
The Under 18 and Adult category winners will be selected through an internal judging process.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be assessed on:
  • Creativity and originality
  • Relevance to the theme
  • Visual impact
  • Quality and composition

Submission Details

Please submit your entry electronically as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG suitable for printing.

Winners Announced: 11 October 2026 at the close of the Bloom Festival
